Chamonix France Offers a Grand Location for Ski Trips

Chamonix sits at the base of the majestic Mount Blanc in France, only 1hr with Ski Transfers from Geneva airport, and is often recognized as the mountaineering and skiing capital of France. Chamonix town is known as a veritable area for extreme activities in summer and winter seasons. The resort held the 1st Olympics in 1924 – but it’s also an area of amazing views offering a lot to the adventurous skier and holiday maker.

But unlike many modern ski fields the resort of Chamonix isn’t a modern snowboarding town and has been preserved from the brutalist architecture that blight much of the Alps. Chamonix Mont Blanc is lucky to have not only an internationally famous skiing mountain moreover a turn of the century and thriving centre.

It is large enough to ensure that there is enough for the non-skier to see. Whatever the pace of your trip theres an activity to suit anyone. There is a large sports and swimming center, cross country skiing, paragliding and weekly market with fresh local produce; and lots of boutiques, terraced caf©s and night-clubs, Chamonix offers a mix of mountaineering, atmosphere and aprs ski, that only a few snowboarding domains can come close to.
